Video about the City of London

This video shows how London has developed on the River Thames since the first Roman settlement. Over the centuries, the docklands and warehouses have evolved into fashionable offices and flats. Those who can't afford them may live on a houseboat, just like the man the presenter interviewed. In an exhibition about the future of London, some digitally created pictures predict the possible effects of a climate change, be it another ice age or higher sea levels. In the exercises we are asked to fill in the gaps with new vocabulary and to answer some questions.
